Brazil - Santa Inês Farm
Brazil Santa Inés:
For the month of November The Good Coffee Cartel is very excited to present two very special coffees, and a very special project - a project that is especially close to our hearts as it directly affects one of our team. For the whole month we're showcasing two coffees which have characteristics everyone with Type 1 Diabetes (and also those without!) will appreciate.
100% of the profits from the sales of these coffees will be going directly to the charity Breakthrough T1D, who are the leading global charity for T1D. This will fund groundbreaking research, discover better treatments, help them advocate for better access and support for the T1D community. They just want a better life for everyone living with Type 1 Diabetes, and to open doors that were previously closed to this diagnosis - and so do we.
This coffee has characteristics that someone who has T1D would look for to stabilise their blood sugar levels after they've been brought back up to normal - they need to be stabilised. In real life this can be done by eating things like oatmeal, whole wheat bread, beans, lentils & nuts. However for the purposes of a coffee flavour profile we've selected something that reflects that sort of comfort food (because it's really hard to get a pleasant 'bready' vibe in a nice coffee!). So this Brazil is a real comfort coffee with some delicious malty flavours and a nice full body.
