Having a direct connection with the people who are involved in growing and processing coffee is special - it's one of the reasons we got into the coffee game in the first place. We have a local green bean importer here in Glasgow, a lovely Guatemalan man called Javier who runs Caribbean Goods. This coffee from San José Ocaña is actually grown by one of Javier’s oldest friends and school classmate, Cristián Sanchez. This washed, yellow catuai is so smooth with flicks of orange/grapefruit juice, and has the best qualities of a washed Guatemalan coffee.
