THE PLANET
We believe that you can’t make change without taking risks, and since we started in 2017 we’ve been doing the hard yards to blaze those trails which bigger, better resourced coffee companies are now following.
We pioneered reusable packaging in Scotland with wholesale customers receiving coffee in reusable pails and retail customers receiving coffee in reusable (refillable!) tins. When these tins reach the end of their life they can be recycled infinitely. We offer the ability to refill your tin from anywhere in the UK via our website, delivered to your door in letterbox friendly compostable and recyclable packaging.
When you’re looking for coffee, look for the coffee companies who are taking action! The influence that our approach has had can be seen resonating throughout the rest of the speciality scene here in Scotland. It is our proudest achievement to date, and we're happy to see the ethos be adopted by our peers.
SOURCING COFFEE
When it comes to sourcing our coffee, we only partner up with green bean suppliers who actively put in place processes at origin to ensure sustainability for the farmer.
Things at the farming level like improved processing techniques and better irrigation systems all the way through to working on the efficiency of operations and the business side of things. By working with organisations and people who build these long-lasting relationships we can be confident of two things: the coffees we buy year on year are always improving in quality, and the farmers at origin are always being paid a fair price for their crop.
